Best Cities to Meet Men

Last year MSNBC released a list of the top cities for a woman to meet a man. Some of the criteria they used in developing this list were: ratio of single men to single women, philanthropy, and divorce rate.

So does the city that you live in really dictate your chances for finding love? Well after the list was released there were all kinds of blogs popping up both to support and condemn the findings of this report. Here are the cities that received a rating of "A" and here is what readers had to say:

• San Jose- No big complaints except that no one can afford to live there. If you can afford to be there or to get there then you may fare well.
• Seattle- The dreary weather was the number one complaint. If you don't require a lot of sunlight or can be happy with a sun lamp you may just find love here.
• Minneapolis- Again, no big complaints. Having lived in Minnesota, I can tell you that the people are very nice and there do seem to be more men. Just bundle up and be prepared to redefine your definition of cold.
• Raleigh, NC- Women acknowledge that there are lots of men at work but not when they go out. You may be better off staying late at work than heading out on the town if you want to meet men in the Research Triangle.
• San Francisco- There are lots of men, but for obvious reasons the women in the Bay Area had a lot to say about these men being "available."
  
• Arlington, TX- Poor Arlington, many female bloggers were critical of this one adding that it was a great place to meet men "if you have exhausted all your options."
  

After reading the comments surrounding this list, it looks like no matter how scientific we try to be there is no magic place to find love. So if you're searching, stay where you are instead of packing up to try your luck in a new city.
